Doyle and Joyce Beard Memorial Fund

This Memorial Fund was created in honor of Doyle and Joyce Beard who were involved in youth baseball for over 50 years. “Coach,” as he was fondly known by most, was the founder of Hardball Academy. He wished that every kid who wanted an opportunity to play baseball would be able to participate.
Joyce, known to family and friends as “Joycie’, was always kind, caring, and compassionate toward others. With an inner strength derived from her unwavering faith in God, Joyce was a true ‘baseball mom and grandma’ continuously supporting youth baseball.
This scholarship and assistance fund is designed in conjunction with the values Doyle and Joyce exhibited during their lifetimes. The fund will specifically be utilized to help deserving young players that cannot afford to play, support local area baseball organizations enhance their youth participation, and to aid non-scholarship athletes playing baseball.
