Carey Jennings

Carey started with Hardball as a top performing player in 2002. After working with Coach Beard and a hitting instructor, Carey led his all-star team to an undefeated United States South Zone championship. While playing baseball and football at a high level in District 24 -5A,
Carey endured three shoulder surgeries, cutting his collegiate playing career short.
This sparked his lifelong passion for injury prevention and rehabilitation amongst athletes.
Carey graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology –
Exercise Science with an emphasis on sports performance and biomechanics. He stayed
connected to the game of baseball through umpiring, volunteer coaching for his nephews’
teams, working group camps, and individual private lessons.
After college, Carey worked for 3 years as a teacher and coach in the Houston area, working with
children ranging from elementary through high school age. He then began working in the fitness
industry where he worked closely with performance based trainers. During this time, he
developed skills related to increasing strength and speed, injury prevention, injury recovery,
and nutritional guidance for high level athletes. He has a passion for and track record of
helping others accomplish their goals; through embracing both the psychological and physical
challenges associated with competing at the highest level, he will help you accomplish
your goals.
